The Laguna Art Museum held the opening reception of the Pacific Regional Photo Exhibit displaying the winning pieces, this past weekend. Club staff member Eddie from Variety Boys & Girls Club in Los Angeles brought down his four Regional winners, along with Malibu Boys & Girls Club winner, and our Laguna Beach winner Lily. Club Members of all ages submitted artwork for local Gallery 1951 to be part of a silent auction event next weekend. All funds raised at the event will go towards building a well in Northern India. Our members put their hearts into creating beautiful masterpieces that will help fund a great cause. The main event will take place on Saturday May 4th from 12-5 and 6-9 PM at 1951 S. All are welcome to the 8th Annual Pancake Breakfast, sponsored in part by the legendary restaurant institution Las Brisas. The breakfast will be held in beautiful Bluebird Park from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased on the day of the event. Come join the fun and meet the wonderful staff, the fantastic BGC families and eat a delicious breakfast sponsored by Las Brisas and other TLC families. The club celebrated National Boys & Girls Club week with many special activities at our local club. They got a chance to created their own unique colorful tie dye t-shirt, published the first edition of the “BGC Gazette”, a newsletter made by the kids, had a week long can food drive for the homeless shelter, healthy and fun relay races, and hosted a BBQ with a bring a friend for free day.
