History

The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach has been enriching the lives of young people for 58 years and remains in the forefront of youth development for our community. The “Club” serves children in Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, and surrounding communities. The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach has two sites, our TLC Branch at Bluebird Park and our Main Branch on Laguna Canyon Road. The Boys & Girls Club program philosophy is built around participation and positive reinforcement, which lead to a higher level of self-esteem. Tested and proven, our nationally recognized and innovative site specific programs address today’s most pressing child and youth issues, providing for the underserved and teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life. Our core programs are based on: Character & Leadership, to help youth become responsible caring citizens and develop leadership skills; Education, Technology & Career, to help children succeed in school and increase their self-confidence; Health & Life Skills to promote healthy, active lifestyles and increase self-esteem; The Arts to enhance self-expression, self-value, and creativity; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation to provide socially sound experiences designed to keep children healthy, active, and thinking while having fun.
