BGCWeekCollageThe club celebrated National Boys & Girls Club week with many special activities at our local club. They got a chance to created their own unique colorful tie dye t-shirt, published the first edition of the “BGC Gazette”, a newsletter made by the kids, had a week long can food drive for the homeless shelter, healthy and fun relay races, and hosted a BBQ with a bring a friend for free day. Teen Spotlight: Austin W.

Austin serves as Vice President of the Keystone teen leadership club and is a referee for the boys’ basketball league at the club. Austin is an extraordinary leader who loves to plan and implement community service projects such as reading to the kinders, walking dogs at the rescue shelter and tutoring his peers. He was also our teen member of the month for October, made the principal’s honor roll at school, and went to the National Keystone conference to represent our club earlier this year. Halloween was a Spook at the Boys & Girls Club! On Wednesday Oct. 31st members got to enjoy parading around in their costumes while trick or treating throughout the club. Judges chose the best of the best for the costume contest and only the bravest dared to enter the Haunted House. The day was an excitement for everyone! Check out all the fun pictures! READ MORE

On Sunday November 4 the community came out to support the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach and the Artist Fund for the Postcards with a Purpose Event. Generous supporters as well as club members and their families got a chance to bid on one of a kind postcards created by local artists,  community leaders, celebrities, and children.
