The Club Art Program Includes:

Fine Arts Club / Great Artists (Weekly – four 1 hr. age appropriate classes)

Members explore painting, drawing, printmaking, pastels and more as they are encouraged to create their own masterpieces! Twice a month the Fine Arts Club becomes a hands-on art activity exploring the styles and techniques of the world’s Great Artists, encouraging members to learn by doing, become familiar with new ideas, and expand their knowledge. The classes are based on the process of art as opposed to the product, providing an opportunity to develop technique and creative exploration.  Classes are medium and technique centered with the purpose of perfecting the creation of art to achieve personal goals and satisfaction.  Participants can explore various mediums, styles, and purposes within a single class.  Guest artists and field trips to local museums, galleries, and performances are available for members to participate in throughout the year.  Classes culminate with a local exhibition of their artwork, juried by three local artists, and submission in a National Boys & Girls Club art competition.

Members are also given the unique experience of learning about the developing process as they develop their own photos in a dark room.
