Meet the Staff

Ashlyn Strahle – Branch Director: • Over 10 years experience working with youth. Employed with BGCLB for 9 of them! • Studied abroad at Oxford University • Loves to travel all over the U.S. and enjoys going to concerts • A former club kid and Member of the Year 1993!
Dalene Hamer - Director of Operations: • Holds an AA in Behavior & Social Science from Palomar College • Is a social justice advocate and brings awareness on various issues especially youth homelessness • Has traveled all over the world; Africa, Thailand & Mexico are just a few
Christina Pellecchia – Program Coordinator: • Over 4 years at TLC. Holds an ECEd Certificate and is majoring in Math Education • Played Basketball for 12 years • Was a past BGCLB member and Youth of the Year 2003
Travis Parsons- Education Director: • Holds a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Vanguard University. • Musically inclined; plays piano, guitar and drums. • Has done every job you can think of; barrista is our favorite!
April Rath – Craft Director: • Holds a BA in Music and serves as Director for her non-profit “Brain Power” • Practiced music therapy for children with disabilities and taught piano • Has been Craft Director for the club for 13 years
Summer Goebel – Athletic and Health Director: • Holds a BS in Kinesiology Minor in Health Sciences from CSULB. • Is an avid softball player. • Runs various Club programs, including Smart Girls
Megan Crocker – Youth Development Professional: • Attends Saddleback College and studies Child Development. • Loves camping and family road trips. • Ran the LA Marathon twice!
Theresa Le – Youth Development Professional: • Holds a BS in Human Services Minor in Psychology from CSUF. • Loves anything “potato”. • Enjoys Snowboarding, Scrapbooking and Shopping!
Alex Zapiain- Program Aide: • Senior at University High School in Irvine. • Loves to do portraiture and landscape photography. • Has played Volleyball since she was 7 and gets down on the harmonica.
Nick Robitaille – IT & Web Development: • Maintains computers and website from TLC’s basement • Only contacted when something technical breaks • Anything with a plug is considered his “Area of Expertise”
