Laguna Beach, CA –
The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach is excited to announce the receipt of a generous $4,000 grant from the Festival of Arts Foundation. This funding will support the Club’s “Art for All” program, offering free, daily art activities for members of all ages. With the Foundation’s support, the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach (the Club) will continue to offer a wide variety of beloved programs, including Watercolor 101, Photography, Ceramics, Jewelry Making, and Printmaking, as well as new offerings such as Creative Quest and Digital Arts. Additionally, the grant will help fund an annual art show to showcase the incredible work created by Club members throughout the year.
The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, which also serves Saddleback Valley, is dedicated to enriching the lives of local youth and providing opportunities that broaden horizons and build a foundation for future success. For over 72 years, the Club has served children and families in the community, with 454 members participating each month in the City of Laguna Beach alone.
The Club operates two enrichment sites in Laguna Beach: the Canyon Branch, which houses The Loft for middle school teens, and the Bluebird Branch, which operates year-round. Both locations provide accessible, high-quality after-school care, offering a safe, empowering environment that encourages youth to develop positive behaviors and lifelong skills.
The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach firmly believes that the arts play a vital role in every child’s learning and development. Imagination and creativity are essential for youth to reach their full potential, and the Club is committed to integrating the arts into its programs to help prepare them for future endeavors. The “Art for All” program provides members with the opportunity to explore their creativity, transform ideas into tangible works of art, and express themselves through various artistic mediums.
“At the Art Room of the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, our members thrive as they explore their creativity and engage in artistic experimentation every day. The Club provides a welcoming space where they can freely express themselves and create artwork that’s as unique as each of them. We’re incredibly grateful for the support we receive from the festival each year—it truly makes a meaningful impact.”
— Mar Stash, Elementary Art Expressions Director
In addition to learning the technical aspects of art, Club members gain valuable experience by entering local and national art competitions and having their artwork displayed at community events. The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach’s “Art for All” program not only cultivates creativity but also nurtures the next generation of young artists, fostering self-expression and confidence among youth in the community.
