Providing a safe environment for kids and teens is the number one priority at the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach.
A safe environment allows young people to enhance their social, emotional and cognitive well-being. When young people don’t feel safe, they can’t learn, grow, or develop resiliency that will aid them throughout their lives. We are committed to creating a home away from home, a safe space where club members have the freedom to play, learn and focus on reaching their full potential.
At the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, all of our staff and volunteers undergo a thorough federal background check before they are allowed to work with any of our members. We are continually updating and innovating our robust safety policies, programs and training for staff and volunteers. These policies and programs are designed to protect young people from threats that are present in our society today.
